Tyga is a rapper that seems to be underrated as an artist. I hear a lot of other artist talk about how great of an artist Tyga is and how far he's going to get in his career is he stays focused. However, this video that remakes Lil Wayne videos is a good commemoration to Lil Wayne, however, I can't get away from the fact that it looks like he's dick-riding a little too hard. However, its cool to show homage to your idols and this type of thing happens all the time. For instance, B.o.B has a slew a videos he's just put out in the past 6 months that all play a tribute to the 90's & 80's hip hop. For some reason, B.o.B.'s rendition of his idol seems like it was done right. Tyga's song says he's the light skinned Lil Wayne. There seems to be so much wrong with that statement, I don't know exactly where to begin. The song is hot, I won't take that away from Tyga, but the video is almost like he's cloned himself to be the artist that is still around. I mean, didn't Lil Wayne just drop an album not too long ago? Yet, Tyga wants to make it known, he's still his idol or out to take his throne. By calling himself Lil Wayne, he's trying to take his spot. There was a time when Lil Wayne was not that guy, but there was the year of guest appearances he made that year, and every song he appeared on was a hit record. That was before he's started putting out his solo albums. Tyga has a chance of being that type of artist, but he has got to put the work in. There is no way he's going to get to Wayne's level at this rate. Only time will tell, I mean, I've been wrong before, but Tyga as an artist has work to do.
